This privacy policy applies to all visitors of our website, customers, newsletter subscribers, contacts and other individuals whose personal data is processed by YOME Collection.

YOME Collection processes personal data when you use our webshop, contact us, place an order, subscribe to marketing communications or otherwise provide data to us.

6. On which legal bases do we process personal data?

7. Automated decision-making and profiling
YOME Collection itself does not make automated decisions that have legal effects on you or that otherwise significantly affect you.
However, we do make use of external service providers that apply automated processes as part of our services:
- Shopify Fraud Analysis: for fraud detection on orders
- Klarna: for credit assessment when paying later

You have the right to object to such automated assessments and to request human intervention. You can do so by sending a request to support@yomecollection.com or directly to the party concerned.
8. How long do we retain personal data?
We do not retain personal data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, unless a longer retention period is legally required.
- Order, invoice and payment data: 7 years, based on the statutory fiscal retention obligation
- Contact enquiries: 6 months after handling
- Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent
- Account data: for as long as the account is active, or until deletion is requested
- Review data: for as long as the relevant product is part of our assortment, unless earlier deletion is requested. After removal or when the product is discontinued, reviews may be retained in anonymised form.
- Analytics data: up to 14 months
9. Sharing personal data with third parties
We only share personal data with third parties to the extent necessary for our services or on the basis of a legal obligation. Data processing agreements have been concluded with our processors.
The categories of recipients include, among others:

- Payment providers: such as Klarna, Mollie or similar parties
- Shipping and delivery partners: such as PostNL, DHL and specialised furniture carriers

It is possible that personal data is processed outside the European Economic Area (EEA), for example when we use Shopify or other international software providers.
If personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we ensure that this takes place in accordance with the GDPR, for example on the basis of an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.

YOME Collection may be active on social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and TikTok. If you contact us via social media or view our content, these platforms may also process personal data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
For some social media pages, we act as a joint data controller together with the platform, for example in relation to visitor statistics of our company page.
15. Minors
Our website and webshop are not directed at children under the age of 16, unless expressly stated otherwise. We do not intend to collect personal data from minors without the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
